There's a "basic" tag or stereotype for everything now so how about we kick things up a notch with the basic black & white staple wardrobe pieces? This outfit consists of a good old pair of Levi's 501ct's, a black crew neck with some badass stud designs, black booties, and some interesting accessories. You can turn anything basic into a kick ass outfit, it just takes the right pieces to bring it all together. In this case these geometric fun sunglasses from this summer plus my favorite bag from Steve Madden really help bring out the silver in the belt as well as the studs on the sweater. It's minimal, yet quite a mash-up of contrast and textures from the studs, the destroyed look on the jeans, and even from the bag. I also decided to give my jeans a bigger cuff this time to help emphasize the shoes as well. It's a really long cuff (just one fold, the jeans have a 32" inseam) but it's cooler out so I'd rather experiment with longer cuffs then letting my ankles get cold.
Unfortunately the crew neck sweater is not available at F21 and neither is the baboutit purse on Steve Madden but I linked a regular basic black crew neck sweater along with the other details below the photos, in case you guys feel up to bedazzling your own sweater because why not! How do you guys pair your basic black & white pieces? Share below, or on the Instagram/Tumblr posts this week.
Good vibes, Always
