FWMN / FALL 2016
Another MN Fashion Week down on the books, it was quite eventful for me this time around. I got to attend a few more events than usual and some were completely new experiences for me. I kickstarted FWMN with the MINNSTAFASHION event held at the W Minneapolis hotel, the set-up was luxurious and there were plenty of local artists, fashion designers, entepreneuers, and bloggers to mingle my way through the night.
Then came the IAMINSPIRED show, a great get together for the community where fashion from various boutiques were showcased with a twist and styling by local fashion stylists. The great thing about the show was the each stylist's unique taste was showcased, and yet achieved a level of cohesiveness for the show as a whole that was great to watch.
I also got to enjoy the FGI-MSP show for the first time around. The show's name is Fall Back Into Luxury, and trust me the evening was beyond luxurious. Various attendees showcased their favorite and exquisite wardrobe pieces bringing out everyone's personal style up a notch. This runway also showcased pieces from various local boutiques, with gorgeous details and design.
Now for the details of my favorite show every fashion week here in MN– ENVISION. This tends to be the event that marks the end of my fashion week adventures, but even so it never ceases to amaze me how all the fashion designers that take part of this show bring out innovative and creative designs every season. This season marked their 10th year anniversary, and trust me every season gets better and better.
The team behind ENVISION does an amazing job at making the creatives of MPLS from various fields of work come together, as well as the community as a whole feel welcomed into their events every year. They offer a variety of art, music, and the fashion is never boring. From people clapping, to giving the designers standing ovations, ENVISION's way of showcasing the work of local fashion designers and bringing it to such an accepting audience is what makes this show my favorite every year.
